I had a white GSD many years ago: one of the sweetest tempered and gentlest dogs ever.  I still miss him.  Good on you, mate, may she live long and happily with you.

Hope you have a calm one!!!! My neighbor has a white G.S. and that dog will give a aspirin a headache.I have never ever seen such a nervous, non stop, hyper dog as this one.If they made Riddlin for dogs, this one would be a candidate.

Lilly (the GS) is very sweet tempered, not nervous at all. She loves attention, likes having her head rubbed and behind her ears sctatched. But she is very alert and will let you know when someone drives onto the property. When I get down on the ground to play with them, they cover me with kisses.

Sheba is even more lovable. She will come to me when I'm sitting on the porch and lay her head across my knee so I will scratch her neck. If I stop she will nuzzle my hand to make me start again.

I pray that someday I will become the man that my dogs already think I am.

I have a Anatolian she is a nut she sleeps during daylight hours and is awake all night. I have a house for her to get in but she drags all the straw out and lay's on it beside her house. I would not want to see what she would do if anything or anyone made one the kids scream or cry it would get ugly in a hurry. My lab is the mean one she will eat a mountain lion never done anything to make her that way just has a bad attitude but loves the kids. Quack

My dad died a couple of years ago, his "partner, other than my mother" was a B&W shetland? His name, was Snoopy, (black and white coat) when my dad found him 15 yrs ago, on the side of the road, he was abt 6 months old.

He loved my dad, more than anything, and laid in front of his shop door for 3 months, after dad passed, everyday, waiting for him to come home. Snoopy died today, my mom was pretty torn up, but, was "happy" that daddy didn't have to see him be put down.

I have shed a few tears over dogs. My "baby" right now has been here 12 yrs, and is getting a little slow. I like dogs more than most people I know, They are ALWAYS honest.  Beautiful pics............WALI..........................

When the wife and I decided to get a dog, we each had our ideas about breeds. I figured Lab,Golden ,English Setter and she figured Pom, Yorkie, Jack Russel so we compromised and got the Yorkie. I have never been a fan of small yapping dogs but what the hell. I laid out 875.00 for this 6 inch long, 5 oz piece of meat we called Murphy ( after Audie). Murph has now become one of the most important factors in our life. We had had him about 4 mos. I was upstairs on the puter one night when I could hear my wife laughing. I got up and sneaked over the side of the balcony to watch. She was playing  with him and laughing her butt off. She told him her was such a clown. He has been a constant source of enjoyment for both of us. I actually get a sinking scared feeling when I ponder his life span and have thought it would be better if I go first to avoid the heartbreak I know would be there if anything happened to Bonehead.    Trap

I have seldom cried about the passing of people.  I have always cried at the passing of my dog.
