I thought cypress was really regulated about being cut and sold. Does it require a permit to cut it?

We have some "knees" from years ago that we got in Florida.

Jess it is this stuff was cut 15-20 years ago, You can sell the Knees that have been already cut, just don't get caught cutting Them. They will let us harvest Sinker and already dead ones, if you ever have watch Ax Men on TV Shelby is about 2 miles from my Shop.

Shelby is a hoot I could get along with that guy. Ron my finances have been pretty poor but things are looking up now that I'm working.

Whats the best find with your Whites? I have a old fisher my favorite find was a 1865 2 cent coin. I found it up in KS bout 10yrs ago.

Quack -Metal detecting for me has been a life time, past time.I still own a old white 5000 and a newer Bounty Hunter.Actually i like the old low frequency White better than the high freq Bounty Hunter..Another reason that i'm looking forward to going back to S MS so many places to hunt and coin shoot,up here no where. My best coins were a 1860 Orleans mint dime and a 1888 Silver German 5 mark coin.

I had a half of a two liter bottle full of silver quarters, and a full one of wheat pennies i found in Audubon and City park-lost them all in Katrina

Got to tell you this-I used to live in Littlewoods section of Eastern New Orleans, they had a levee along Paris Road(Ron will know where i am talking about)This is where i found the 1860 dime. The area was getting kinda of full of Obama supporters from some section 8 housing in the area.I used to carry my old family M&P in my boot and i would not use headphones only a ear plug in one ear to eliminate any surprises.

One day while i was panning back and fourth two of the supporters, about 12/14 years old were coming my way as they passed me one as the other "What dat man doing??? The reply from the "edgeamacated" one was "don't be so stupid, can't you see dat mans weedeating" I still laugh about that till this day.

So True, One year They Drained  Bayou St John To work on the sea wall, The old sunken Boats & camps were about 4' under the silt, we use to dig down to the hull then Hack throuh the Floor boards to find old Bottles, silver ware and all sorts of Stuff, an Old black Drunk was walking on the seawall and saw me down in the Hole stops and then says Ain't no worms down there and walked off, that was over 30 years ago and I still laugh! Hart Yes I know the area, here's a new Orleans Merry Christmas To all

Do you suppose there is still some unfound loot from back in the late 1800's out west. There had to be some desperado bandits who hid there ill gotten gains and never made it back to find them?????

Maybe a tv reality show in the making......
