Thread Title: "NOTICE TO AOL USERS - AOL TOS rejections"

We are recieving a ton of TOS rejection notices from scomp@aol.net.

Apparently, for some unknown reason, AOL has unilaterally decided to begin blocking many messages to you (Bidbot bid confirmation and Outbid notices, etc) about your AuctionArms.com business. If you are an AOL user and are not receiving your Bid notifications or Outbid notices, please contact your AOL techincal staff and complain.

You should request they "whitelist" all email messages from email host auctionarms.com. We do not send SPAM and you are missing important messages.

Here is a response from AOL Tech Services requesting information on why some of our email messages to AOL customers were bouncing back to AuctionArms.com

  • AA Asks:  Can you confirm that these messages are originating from AOL,
  • AOL Response: Yes, indeed they are.
  • AA Asks:  Can you confirm that they are blocking our joint customers messages
  • AOL Response: Neither they nor we definitely are blocking your customer's messages.
  • AA Asks: Let me know why this is happening
  • AOL Response: These are complaints from AOL subscribers that are being routed back to you for action.
  • AA Asks:  What we can do to stop this so our joint customers receive their auction email.
  • AOL Response: Your customers received these emails. But then they highlighted them and clicked on the "Report Spam" button, thus generating the complaint. When we get a complaint such as this, we check the IP address of the sending MTA and if we have a feedback loop defined, we send the complaint to that feed back loop. In this case, yours.

AOL users, please check your AOL Mail and SPAM controls. 

  • Edit your AOL Email "Sender Filter",
  • Edit your "Use a Custom Sender List",
  • Remove any email address ending in "@auctionarms.com" (such as "Operations", "BidBot") by highlighting them in the list of "blocked Senders" and clicking the "Remove" button.

This will insure your receive your valuable AuctionArms.com communications.
