Are them things any good to eat? They look like the garfish we have down here in south east Texas. Gar meat is not bad tasting but has a lot of gristle in it. You gotta grind it up and make gar balls out of it or cut it up in finger size pieces to fry. |

Johnny I don't know about them Gar you got but they could be simular. Musky are edibel and I don't mind eating it. It's basically a really big Pike and the first time you see one come out of the water you will swear you hooked into one of Hartwells gators. Most minnesotans don't eat them though. They usually go back in the water to be caught again or go to the taxadermist. |

(Muskellunge) Pike, Pickerel, etc. The name comes from a Ojibwa word Maashkinoozhe, meaning "Ugly Pike".
