You can hire the handicapped or they can make themselves that way.

I lost favor with the safety man at our facility when I told him that "SAFETY" is counterproductive. When he tried to argue, I pointed out that accidents are Mother Nature's way of cleaning out the gene pool. He only speaks to me when he has to now. ROFLAS

I repair forklifts for my living and watching some of these tapes angers and scares the crap out of me. I have had to go to truck terminals and lift forklifts backup onto the dock after someone drove over the edge. This causes serious injuries one man broke his back because the truck driver drove away from the dock as he was backing out of the trailer.

Sorry but these incidents are not funny to me.

Stan how do you lift a fork lift by yourself and get it back on the dock. If you get help you may not get serious injuries. Sorry it was just laing there so helplessly.

Forklifts have made the job 100% easier but they are a deadly machine if something goes wrong. I have had a couple of incidents on them where my teeth were nearly jarred out of my head when I backed into a concrete barrier and nearly rolled one off the dock when I pulled to far forward and my front wheels went into the bed of a pickup truck delivering a pallet of tapes to where I used to work. I also had one of my best friends killed on one when he was crossing the railroad track at his job and hung the fork in the track which threw him against the steering wheel and busted his intestines. One interesting thing though, I worked with a old black guy who had been running them for years and he tended to sip the bourbon a little during the day. He rounded a corner one day and hit the concrete barrier and his wallet flew about 30 feet through the air and it had been in his back pocket. That was funny.
