To the contrary, Mackinlay has an excellent reputation as a blended whisky and its price reflects it. You'll pay about $150 for a bottle of it! It has a storied history http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mckinlay/whisky.html and you can bet that if Shackleton took it with him, it was good stuff. |

Once knew a gent that worked with liquid nitrogen in the cryogenics lab, who used to freeze gin, and use it to chill his martinis. The melting "gin cubes" did not dilute the drink. |
