Thread Title: "New Image Uploader Tool"
AuctionArmsCeo We've been receiving a number of reports that Internet Explorer on Windows 7 sometimes doesn't work with our Image Uploader in the item posting process. The developer of our Image Uploader has since produced a new version of the software that solves the problems with the small group of sellers might now be running IE on Windows 7. If you go to add pictures to your items and are prompted to reinstall the Image Uploader, this is the fix we're referring to. Thanks for your patience while we worked this out. Manny DelaCruz

(no avatar) Manny, what do you guys think of Firefox? It seems to "not" have a lot of problems that plague IE. Any recommendation of one over the other?

(no avatar) Little Storping - we moved away from Firefox when version 2.0.0.20 came out.

We had been using Firefox for years and prefered it over IE. With this new release we found more problems than we cared to futs with. From reading FF 3.0 has the same problems.

We found that we had to start mainting Java Script in FF folders to do stuff that would normally be handeled in IE.

If they every change Firefox to fix some of the problems we would consider moving back in a flash.

(no avatar) I'm using 3.5.5 now and its cleared up a lot of problems I've been having with IE, especially with IE not being able to display drop-down menus and other controls on vendor web sites. Midway USA was one of them. But for work I have to flip back and forth from one and the other for testing, so it gets to the point that its like watching the same game, whether it be on an RCA or Sony TV ;-)

AuctionArmsCeo Officially, Auction Arms was designed on IE6. But we currently use IE7 and IE8 as development environments. We also use the latest version of Firefox, but Auction Arms doesn't look as good on that - mostly due to some formatting issues. But I do like Firefox. For straight HTML, I think it's faster than IE. But my experience has been that ActiveX controls function a little faster than java-based controls. Currently, over 75% of Auction Arms users are using IE7 and IE8, so we'll probably update the endorsement at the bottom of the page to reflect that fairly soon.
