Just heard on the radio a true crime and punishment story. It seems these two miscreants were breaking into cars at a resort in Florida and police were summoned. One crook was captured immediately, but the second decided to make a run for it. It turned into a swim for it when he encountered a pond on the premises. He didn't make it. The pond was home to "Pancho", a 12-foot alligator who took umbrage at being disturbed and killed the evil-doer. Police recovered his body the next day.
"Pancho" has been removed from his home, though. They should've given him a medal instead.
