Thread Title: "8-13-06 Server outage."
AA-bob Our servers have been experiencing intermittent outages since 3AM PDST this morning, Sunday 8-13-06 due to a failure of a Microsoft automatic software update to install correctly.

We believe we've resolved this problem.

As a result, and to be fair to all our customers who could not access auctions during this period to place their bids, all auctions that closed/or are scheduled to close since 3 AM this morning through 4PM PSDT, Sunday 8-13-06, will be reopened and/or extended to close at 4 PM PDST tomorrow, Monday 8-14-06.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have created. Thanks for using AuctionArms.

Bunch of people already pi--ed off about changes and now this .

Gee, can you believe the "pile on" that sometimes goes on.

Anyway, Nynn444, thanks for your helpful comments.

All conspiracy theories (very helpful especially while trying to solve an server outage problem)will be gladly referred over to Art Bell and George Noory at "Coast to Coast AM". LOL!!

Petesguns AA-bob, yes a "pile-on" can occur for various reasons, but sometimes it is caused by our own inattentiveness to what really counts. Talk to us BEFORE you change things that mess with our daily routines. Be the AA we all have come to love and respect.

Hartwell Gun Come on guys,you 'll know this outage was not a conspiracy.When this site is down AA also loses a bundle.May have been caused by the big business virus that is now spreading wildly in the corporate world.It's name is greed.exe.It'll get you everytime.

(no avatar) I (BPCR) had 6 auctions end this morning, when will they restart? What do I tell the winning bidders that got a winning bid e-mail from AA? I will not sell the above 6 items because of the outage. Thanks for your help, Paul

AA-bob Thanks for the vote of confidence, Hartwell Gun, with regards to cause...best we can figure it now is we all have Billy Gates and his little crew to thank for this one! Ok, I guess that qualifies as greed.exe!!! LOL!!
