Thread Title: "Mail Server Issue"
AuctionArmsCeo Our apologies. Unfortunately, our mail server had a rough time these last two days. We were the victim of a new Trojan virus that was generating a large amount of SPAM, and using our server to deliver it. IMPORTANT: None of the email generated went to our users, or compromised any other system we have in any way. It was an email virus that we were missing an update for, and it basically was throwing a lot of Spanish SPAM into our out box, slowing down delivery for legitimate email to a crawl.

We've located the nefarious program and removed it in the most prejudicial manner possible, and removed all the offending SPAM. Unfortunately, due to our mail server's condition, our email server was placed on a SPAMMER list that will take a few hours to remove. In other words, because our server was temporarily hijacked, we were listed as being spammers. So other ISPs that use this service are temporarily blocking our email as we sort this out. By the time you read this on Monday morning, all back email should be delivered, and email moving normally from us to you.

We apologize for this minor interruption, and hope we someday run into the knucklehead that caused our technological grief, so that I may personally turn his hide into a very ugly belt. Sorry for the trouble.

(no avatar) It's a month later and I can't e-mail anyone. I'm new so maybe I'm doing something wrong? I keep getting error messages saying it can't match a field.

lastbat, first off welcome aboard to AuctionArms! Copy, and paste the error message you get into an email and send it to me at bob@auctionarm.com. We'll see if we can figure out your problem.

Jarrett88, If I understand your note correctly, I believe that particular problem is caused by a Yahoo email setting you will have to change.

I believe if you look at their email program there is a means for setting all email from mail host "auctionarms.com" as a trusted sender (or similar term) which will ensure it goes into your In-Box rather than into the Bulk email folder as you describe.

Any Yahoo email user's out there that can help out with the particulars?
