This is an unusual Colt Border Patrol. A friend of mine acquired this for me a long time ago from a Police auction. S.F.P.D. I was told shows that it went to the San Francisco Police Department. In most respects it is a Colt Trooper Mk III, but the barrel is marked "Border Patrol". I was told that the US Border patrol was to adopt them, but later decided not to and the few that had been assembled were sold at good prices to Police Agencies. This one appears to be unfired, but over the years has gotten a very light ring on the cylinder and a pin head sized brown spot on the cylinder. Bore is mint and grips appear perfect. I will start the bidding at basically what a wheel gun sells for now. Please email with questions or for a particular photo. A 3 day non-firing inspection period is allowed. I do ship to California. Please be aware of your local laws and have a gunsmith inspect the revolver, if you plan to shoot it. I am selling it as a collectors item. Thanks!
