Gun: This is a Weatherby Model Mark V Varmintmaster, chambered in .224 Magnum with a tapered 24” barrel. There is a Weatherby 6 x 62 scope with Buehler mounts. The left side of the barrel at the receiver is marked "Weatherby .224 Magnum", on the left side of the receiver it is stamped "Mark V Varmintmaster". The right side of the receiver has the serial no. "S2296" and on the barrel at receiver "Made in Germany". There is a hinged floorplate. The action is smooth and functional, with strong springs and the trigger pull is about 1 pound. The rifle weighs 7 lbs 14 oz.
Condition: The bore is bright and sharp with deep rifling. The external finish is bright blue and has no scratches or discoloration to mention but for a small spot of finish discoloration on top of the barrel about 8" forward of the scope (please see pictures, this could just be some dried oil). Approximately 98% of the metal finish is retained. The stock is beautifully figured and checkered with no dings or scratches.
