Very nice U.S. E. Whitney Flintlock Musket in .69 caliber and with 42” barrel. The stock is in very nice shape with no cracks. There are two proof marks on left side of stock above trigger guard however I do not know what they mean. There are two proof marks on top of barrel and it is marked “1837” on top strap. The left side of receiver is marked “New Haven 1839.” The hammer is missing the top piece that secures the flint in place. The screw which holds it in place sheared off and a piece is still in hole. The ramrod is bot original and has a brass knob and is to short for barrel. Bore looks to be in good to better shape but dusty. I know nothing about this piece so please email if you have any information. This is an antique and can ship direct to buyer.
