Please note that the photos of this Model 1300 Stainless Marine do not do the gun justice! The nickel plating on the Stainless components shows a deep shine and is not dark or discolored. Bid on this one with confidence!
Here is a rare Winchester Model 1300 Stainless Marine 12 Gauge Pump Action shotgun. The shotgun has an 18-1/2 inch barrel, front rifle sight with a silver bead, flip-up adjustable rear sight, 6+1 shot capacity, wood stock and forearm and is chambered for both 2-3/4 & 3 inch shells.
From the research I have done the shotgun appears to have been manufactured in the mid 1980's at Winchester's New Haven Connecticut plant. These Winchester Model 1300 Marine’s have a Stainless barrel, magazine tube and a few other parts. The Stainless parts are nickel plated as well as the aluminum receiver, trigger group and most of the internals. The Stainless Marine was issued to the US Coast Guard and other maritime law enforcement agencies as well as the civilian market. These Winchester’s are rugged and very corrosion resistant.
This particular Stainless Marine model we have here is in excellent condition. All the furniture appears to be in great shape. There is one small scratch near the rear sling swivel and one small dent on the left side of the stock. I tried to take a photo, but the spots are so small that they didn’t show-up. The pump forearm is in very good condition with no scratches or dents anywhere on the wood. The nickel finish on the stainless steel barrel is pristine. The bore is smooth and shinny and looks great. Other than a small thin scratch on the left-side, the nickel finish on the receiver is in excellent condition. The finish is so reflective and the scratch is so small that I couldn’t get it to show-up in a photo.
Our Professional Gunsmith concurs that this is one rare and beautiful shotgun and worthy of any collectors addition.
