IMR 4831 Rifle Powder In 1 Lb Plastic Canister
|Model 4350 - This is a relatively slow burning propellant that is used in cartridges from 22 to 45 caliber. IMR 4350 is perhaps the single best choice for such popular applications as the 243 Winchester for all bullet weights, The 257 Roberts and the 7x57mm Mauser with most bullet weights, and the 30-06 with bullets of 180 grains or heavier.
Model 4831 - This is a very slow burning propellant that is ideal for many magnum style cartridges including the 338 Winchester Magnum, the 375 H&H Magnum and the 416 Rigby. It is also likely to be the very best choice for the 270 Winchester and the 280 Remington. Accuracy in its best applications is usually outstanding and velocities are often at the highest practical levels. It works for a wide range of cartridges having a relatively large powder capacity.
Model 4895 - Countless tons of this propellant were used by the government to load 30-06 ammo during the Second World War. Its fine granulation allows it to meter well through a powder measure. It gained an enviable reputation in the 30-06 for accuracy. Additionally, many target shooters favor it for the 308 Winchester with 168 grain bullets. Excellent results with certain bullets in cases from the .17 Remington to the .458 Winchester Magnum.
Model 4064 - This is an extremely versatile and generally accurate powder. It has been a favorite in the 308 Winchester, 30-06 Springfield with 150 grain or lighter bullets and in the 375 H&H. At one time it was a factory choice for the latter cartridge. Its applications range from 22-250 Remington to the 416 Remington, doing quite well.
Model 3031 - This is an extremely popular powder in many small to medium size rifle cases. It is a favorite for the 30-30 Winchester. At one time this was used to load 250-3000 Savage Remington factory ammo. It is also highly recommended in the tiny .17 Remington and some shooters favor it in the giant 458 Winchester Magnum. It is extremely versatile and at its best in medium capacity cases including the 358 Winchester.
Model 4198 - This propellant is relatively fast burning and at one time was the favorite of the benchrest shooters using the 222 Remington. It is perhaps the premier selection of 444 Marlin. It was at one time the factory powder for this cartridge.
Model 4227 - This is the fastest burning propellant in the IMR canister powders. IMR is ideal for the 22 Hornet and other small case rifle cartridges. It is also used in many heavy handgun loads, cast bullet loads and the 410 shotgun.
Model 7828 - The slowest burning of canister grade IMR powders, IMR is ideal for applications in large capacity cases with heavy bullets. It is the best selection for the 378, 416 and 460 Weatherby Magnum cart ridges. Many shooters feel is it also a fine choice for 7mm Remington Magnum, 7mm, 300 and 340 Weatherby Magnums.
Model 7828SSC- This magnum rifle powder has exactly the same burn speed as standard 7828 and uses the same data. However, due to the super short kernels, metering is virtually as good as a spherical powder. This allows up to 4% more powder space in the case and in many loads yields more velocity than standard 7828.
Model 4320 - This is a single base propellant. Factory 308 Winchester ammunition had been loaded with this powder, though it was long ago replaced. It is a versatile powder used in a wide range of rifle cartridges.|
