Here is a nice 22 bolt action rifle for camp, for the tractor for groundhogs or any other rodent, or for the beginner squirrel hunter. She just needs alittle TLC. The rear sight has been removed and the aperature portion of the peep is missing as well. This series rifle manufactured 1934-1939 was not drilled and tapped or milled for a scope, however it would be an easy task for a gunsmith to sink 4 holes into the reciever to get you set up for optics. The rifling is still pretty good and the rifle seems to function just fine. The wood is in very good conditon for the age, no cracks, just a few light marks here and there. Bluing is fare. It sports some light surface pitting from years of neglect and a couple of spots where someone got alitle agressive with some steel wool. Rifle has nice character and would be a great little project. Clips are still avalialbe for this rifle, I carry them in my shop and sure any quality store would have them. She has a 24" barrel and the LOP is 13 1/4". Great little piece.
