Questions for Users
(Public)
Q:  How long is the barrel? What is l.o.p. with out pad? Has the metal been reblued? How is the bore Thanks Rick. 04/08/2010
A:  Barrel is 25" from front of receiver to muzzle. L.o.p. with the pad is 13 3/4" Bore is very good. Reblued? Who knows? Maybe some time long in the past. This gun has been in my possesion for about 10 years. It hasn't had anything done to it in that time. I have fired it and it is very accurate. Shot a deer with it and haven't fired it since (that was about 8 years ago) Cleaning out my collection so it was one that didn't make the cut. 04/08/2010

Q:  Has the stock been cut? Do the numbers on the wood and metal match? Thanks Rick. 04/09/2010
A:  I have not disassembled this gun to check numbers. I would assume that at some point, given the recoil pad, that the stock was shortened to accomodate it. I am unaware of any 99 leaving the factory with a pad. But since this gun has been around a couple of years and I have only owned it for about 10, anything is possible. Looking at the wood, I would guess that it's original. Dark from repeated oiling etc. Don't know it that helps but there it is. 04/09/2010
