Hello and Welcome to this great Auction. This auction includes a 1851 Navy Colt .36 cal. black powder percussion 6 shot 7 1/2" octagonal revolver. I found a website that told me this weapon was made in 1853. As you will see in the pictures below all the pieces have matching serial numbers. The serial number is 31488. I am not an expert on grading weapons so I will let you decide for yourself by viewing all the pictures. The cylinder revolves smoothly. The trigger mechanism works fine. There does not appear to be any cracks in the wood handles. This pistol does need a good cleaning and there is some rust in the barrel and bullet chambers. The small little metal piece that pulls out in order to reload is missing the screw which I believe is not a big deal. I have taken a ton of pictures and listed them in this auction but if you can not see them or need me to send you more just ask and I will e-mail you them. My e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org and my phone number is 414-416-3431 ask for Chad. Thank You and Happy Holidays.
There are a lot of pictures so please be patient for them to upload.
Firearm must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer in your area. Bidder to supply a signed copy of local dealer’s license before shipment will be made. A C&R License is acceptable for C&R firearms only (guns determined to be C&R’s by ATF and guns known to be at least 50 years old).
I will ship to California but the buyer must supply me with their FFL's CFD# in addition to the Federal License. California law will NOT allow shipment of C&R HANDGUNS direct to a C&R holder in the State of California, a 01 dealer must be used. I can only ship LONG GUNS directly to a California C&R holder. Please call the California Dept. of Justice/Firearms Bureau @ (916)263-4887 for further clarification. Antique firearms require bidder to supply proof of age.
Large capacity magazine restrictions: New Jersey - 15 round
maximum for semi-automatic firearms only. California - 10 round maximum for all
magazines. Maryland - 20 round maximum for all magazines. Massachusetts - over
10 rounds Hawaii - 10 round maximum for all handgun magazines.
