Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Hopkins & Allen -- Hopkins&Allen UNDERHAMMER muzzleloader RARE NR

Ive only seen 1 other of these interesting guys.. UNDERHAMMER The barrel reads: Hopkins& Allen... THE HERITAGE MODEL. Numfigh Arms, West Hurley, KY. The hammer is UNDER the barrel! The firing action is made by using the trigger guard to act as a spring! There are 2 etched pics of cannon, drums, and flags also on the barrel. The bore seems in good shape..couldnt see any pitting. Only a few nicks/handling marks on the wood stock and forearm.. dont know how old this is, but it is nice! The stock has a brass opening for caps. I have not fired it, but all seems in working order. Looks like it uses #10 or #11 caps. Any questions, feel free to email and I will do my best to answer, but I am no expert on these, just took it in on a trade. High bidder shall provide copy of drivers license or other valid photo ID along with payment in form of a postal MONEY ORDER for final bid PLUS $35.00 shipping/handling. If this is not acceptable, do not bid! If it is acceptable, happy bidding, and good luck!

Q:  these guns were sold in the early 1960's thru the 70's , NUMRICH ARMS is in West Hurley NY. not KY. someone has done a lot of dressing up on this one you have rear peep sight and the brass was not an option on these , unless they have changed the nipple it should be a #11 cap , I own 2 of the rifles and a pistol all are tack drivers and almost never a missfire with them 12/11/2009
A:  Thanks for info.. might be of use to bidders. The only one I have ever seen also had the identical peep sight system, I was thinking they made a run of em with these, or, just happens that the only two ive seen happen to have peep sights. Tim 12/11/2009
