1940 Winchester Model 12 Gauge Trap Shotgun Vg-Fine. Here is a 1940 manufactured Winchester Model 12 Gauge Trap Shotgun in very good to fine condition. This shotgun is marked on the left hand side with “Winchester Proof Steel-/Made In U.S.A./WINCHESTER-MODEL 12 -12 GA./2 ¾ CHAM./FULL”. It is also barrel marked on the right side with “Made in U.S.A. Winchester Repeating Arms Co. New Haven Conn. Pat. July 21, 1896/Feb. 22, June 14, 1898. Sept. 7, 1909 May 17, 24.31. June 7. 1428. July 5. 12. 1910. July 22, 1913”. The serial number is “814260/W” and above on the barrel it is marked “(arrow mark)MODEL-12-TRAP”. The overall condition is 98% with some small salt and pepper marks on the right hand side of the action (see photos). It has fine factory checkering on the forearm and butt stock and has no adverse hunting/handling defects. This is a fine trap gun and will fill that hole in your personal collection or perhaps be a great gift for that favorite grandson.
