Buyer Tip: If you're the High Bidder in an auction when it closes, don't assume you're the final High Bidder. Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't high enough. You're not the high Bidder until you've been notified by email that you are. Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Remington -- 1903A4 30.06 Springfield with scope.

!!!!!LOWERED PRICE!!!!! 1903A4 Remington # 34100xx 4/43 on barrel. All original finish. Parkerized with blued bolt. Shiny bore 4 groove barrel. I have had this A4 since 1966. The seller had cut off the original "C" type stock. I am including the cut down stock with the butt plate in the auction. Nothing else has been changed. I have shot it about a dozen times. The gun when I bought it had the milled trigger guard and butt plate. Remington made several thousand 1903's before they started making 1903a3's. There is a "R" stamped on the trigger guard. I spoke to a person at the Remington company and he said that using up older parts was a common practice. I assume that is how the milled parts ended up on my 1903A4. ****** I have added a Weaver K4 scope to the auction (photo#3) Now the buyer can shoot it as soon as it arrives if they want to!*****

Questions for Users
(Public)
Q:  Thank you for posting your very interesting (and early) M1903A4. For its condition/completeness, the rifle's starting price is just a bit high for me, but I suspect you might get a number of bids--so good luck with that. Also, if perchance the rifle does not sell, and if you relist it, might you consider offering some modest discount to a bidder who did not want the scope? And posting a photo of the serial number (even with a digit or two obscured) might generate a bit more interest. Anyhow, thank you again. 09/02/2009
A:  The only condition issue with the gun is the stock. I tied to sell it with just the action and barrel minus the scope and stock. I have dropped the price several times. The real value of the gun is the condition and rarity of the action and barrel. That is hard to get across with limited small pictures. The only real way to see the condition is to have the gun in your hands. 09/02/2009
