Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Mauser -- custom built in 338-06 best for big game

Here is my custom built elk rifle... I have carried this rifle for many years for elk and bear here in Northwest Oregon... This is a great rifle with incredible knock down power... I am building another rifle and need to fund it so i'm letting this go... chambered in 338-06 ... it has a heavy Blackburn barrel very accurate setup... on a “Standard-Modell” Mauser model 98 (not military) has Mauser emblem stamped on receiver a very sought after action...Chapman 2 position side swing safety with hand checkered top... receiver is drilled for scope mount... and the side is drilled for sight... with a black Ram-line stock and Packmayr butt pad.... Would consider trade for a Bersa Thunder 9 Ultra Compact. Thank you for looking..

Q:  Hello! I have 3 questions: 1. How long is the barrell? 2. Approx. how much does the rifle weigh? 3. What type scope mounts fit the receiver? Thank you, Duane Culp. 07/09/2009
A:  Good questions... sorry I didn't have that on the auction already... it has a 22” barrel, weight is around 7.5lbs and the receiver is drilled for any bases..
