Spanish 7.65mm Imitation 1906 Browning, mfr: code BH: Beistegui Hermanos, Eibar – ""1914 Model Automatic Pistol"" , 9 rounds, hammer fired.

Beistegui Hermanos were subcontractors to Gabilondo y Urresti for the French service pistols.
There were around 150 different ""copies"" made in Spain during this period (around 1911-15).

CONDITION: Good. Bluing gone. Bore reasonable shiny - rifling a little thin.

YEAR OF MFR: around 1911 thru 1916

REMARKS: Lanyard ""hook"" is missing.

SERIAL#: 3731

MATCHING: YES - All except for magazine

MARKS: MARKINGS: - Gun ALL MATCHING Frame under left grip ""3731"",
Barrel & Slide: ""3731"",
Bottom of the butt: (2) stars, one on each side of the clip release (possibly Astra; Esperanza y Unceta, Guernica BUT not likely),
Right hand grip is marked ""JC"" on the bottom (I have no idea what this is - maybe someone's initials or a military outfit),
CAN ANYONE TELL ME or gove me any other info on this gun?
Magazine: not matching - ""1359"" & ""BH"" in an oval - probably ""Beistegui Hermanos"".

HISTORY:

CLIP/MAG: Marked 1359 & BH in oval.

GRIPS: poor - appear ""ground down"" (no longer fully cover the center opening in the handle on the left side) & are lacquered over. Grip screws don't appear to be proper.

SIZE: 6-3/16""oal, 5"" high oal, 4-3/16"" high clip
