This is a AMT Hardballer .45 ACP, single-action pistol. The gun is stainless steel with a 5" barrel, windage adjustable rear sight, adjustable trigger, grip safety and wrap around neoprene grips. The bore has crisp rifling and is in excellent condition.
There are some scratches in the sides and bottom of the frame from handling the gun. The finish on top of the slide above the slide serrations is scratched. There's also some heavier scratches in the left-side of the slide and a slight amount of wear on the edges of the frame. Besides these handling marks, the finish is in good condition (see photos).
The wrap-around neoprene grips show little wear and are in good condition with no splits or cracks. The gun comes with one 7-round magazine, which appears to be aftermarket since it is not stamped AMT on the floorplate. We do not have a box or papers for this gun, the auction is for the gun only. We did not test-fire this gun, but overall this gun is in very good condition mechanically and good in appearance. These guns have a reputation of being finicky, so you may have to test ammunition from different manufacturers to see which works the best. Serial #A21236. STK. #14731.
The Hardballer was the 1st stainless steel 1911-type pistol put into production. If you're an AMT collector, you may consider this one we have here for your collection. We don't see many of these come through our doors, so put your bid in today!
