Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Targa -- .25 Auto Italian & US VG 1980s HG0404

Here is a representative of the Good Quality Italian .25 Autos that were plentiful from the early 1960s until their demise in the 1980s. The Raven MP-25 and its Jennings, Bryco and High Point successors, all pure junk, nudged the Titan and Targa off the market, much to the detriment of cheap gun owners. This is a good pistol, steel parts including external hammer, on a pot metal frame. The only curiosity for operating it and its rarely seen brothers is that the safety works opposite most autos; forward is safe and backward is fire. There is a vast difference between the quality of Italian and Spanish small autos with external hammers and the current crop of junk that is on the market nowadays. The only internal hammer autos of decent quality are the old Colts, Bauers, and Brownings. This one is in Very Good condition, with normal even pocket wear and scuffing on its wood panel grips. We rate it as Very Good finishwise, about 75 percent; and it is excellent mechanically. Own this good solid little Excam model GT-27W .25 Auto pistol simply by being the most resolute bidder on its Auction Arms auction.
