This is an original WW2 era shoulder patch for the Army Ground Forces Replacement Depot (Reserves). This is a true cut edge patch. Visible remnants of the khaki twill it was embroidered onto are all about the edges. The back is completely white, the white of the patch itself notwithstanding. Lots of white bobbin threading here. This "snow" does NOT glow under UV light as this patch is made from 100% cotton fibers. NO post-war synthetics were used during manufacture. NO post-war plastic/sizing has been applied to the back either. Fairly clean. Damage free. Used with light signs of aging. Remnants of attachment threads present. See the pics.
