Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Mauser -- 1891 Argentine Sporter Re-barreled for 7mm

Argentine 1891 Mauser Loewe Berlin. Originally 7.65 Argentine Mauser caliber but has been re-barrel in the popular 7mm Mauser caliber. (Buyer should have a qualified gunsmith check out caliber before firing it just to make sure..I never fired it myself).Receiver, bolt and magazine all have matching serial numbers. Barrel is 20" Bore is bright with strong rifeling. Has Williams sights added and a nice walnut Fajen stock. Not sure if barrel is very dark blued or has been painted dark black (looks more to have been painted)either way it looks good, does have one small spot of pitting(see last pic) Should still make someone a real nice hunting rifle.

Questions for Users
(Public)
Q:  Hello Donkey, have you slugged this barrel for an exact measurement? The barrel is stepped and contains rust which is normal at the wood line of a military stock. It is suspicious that a .311 barrel has been rebarreled to a .284 with another military barrel. Marv Cotton 02/03/2009
A:  Marv, I am not sure what you mean by slugged the barrel, I did rack a 7mm Mauser round into the chamber and racked it back out and it seemed to cycle okay..but I did not fire it. The guy I got it from said he shot 7mm Mauser through it. I will edit the discription to say buyer to have a gunsmith check it out for sure. Thanks 02/03/2009
