Here's a great, unused original WW2 shoulder patch for the army's VIII (8th) Corps. This is a scarce and not-too-often seen patch, especially when it's genuine WW2 era like this one. Most of these I've seen offered in recent years have been post-war examples mistakenly billed as WW2. Condition is great, especially the front. The reverse has traces of glue which could be cleaned up. Obviously this was once in an album. Still not that bad. Nevertheless I've priced this accordingly. This is a cut edge patch. You can see traces of the khaki material it was embroidered onto all about the edges. Lots of white bobbin threading (snow) on the reverse too. Made from 100% cotton this patch does NOT glow under UV light. NO post-war synthetic fibers. NO post-war plastic or sizing on the reverse either. WW2 production- GUARANTEED! See the pics. Ask questions before bidding. I'm offering this 60+-yr-old WW2 artifact "as is", and for little more than the cost of a post-WW2 example. And if you like this patch then check out my other listings for more great collectible militaria. I get new things all the time. Whatever I don't keep to round out my personal collection gets listed. Furthermore, I'm constantly upgrading pieces within my collection and culling out duplicates. You never know what'll be here waiting. ALL OF MY ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED GENUINE UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
