Questions for Users
Q:  Hi, I am looking for a AK for a Christmas present and saw yours. I live in Phoenix any chance of picking it up in person if I win it. And do you have a buy it now price? Thanks Cliff 12/22/2008
A:  Sure, if you're local that just makes things easier for me, and we could do the FFL transfer at a local gun store here in the Phoenix area. I've always used Bear Arms on 90th St. and Shea for internet stuff, but any gun store in the Valley would be fine. When I started the auction I put up a Buy It Now price of $700, and then figured I'd just let the auction decide the price. I know everyone is freaked out right now about not being able to buy and sell guns on/around/after January 21, and the prices are getting kind of ridiculous. On different sites I've seen the bidding for the WASR-10's start anywhere from $575 to $799 new, with a Buy It Now price in the $700-$850 range. The few SAR-1's out there are running a bit higher, but they're not really that much better than the WASR-10's. Let me look around on the internet and I'll try to figure out a Buy It Now price. Thanks. 12/22/2008
Q:  Hi, Can you post a PIC of the muzzle area please? MJR 12/22/2008
A:  Sure, I'll try to get a good picture of the muzzle. It's chrome lined, fired only once, and therefore cleaned only one time. I clean with a nylon coated rod from breech end to muzzle end, so there's no crown damage. 12/22/2008
Q:  Are the sites or gas tube canted? Thanks, Mark G. 12/22/2008
A:  They both appear to be vertical and over the bore to me, at least with the naked eye. If one or the other is slightly canted, I'm can't tell either way just by looking. 12/22/2008
Q:  Does this rifle accept double or single stack magazines? Thanks 12/23/2008
A:  This rifle accepts double stack mags all the way. One of the reasons the SAR-1's are considered better than the WASR-10's is because the SAR-1 receivers were made in Romania to accept the double stack magazines. The WASR-10's have been made to accept the single stack magazines, so they can be imported legally, and then have to be machined out by Cenutry International Arms to accept double stack magazines after they arrive here in the USA. Sometimes the machine work is not so great and the WASR-10's have magazine "wobble" as a result. 12/23/2008
Q:  Will this ak accept hi capacity (30 round) mags? Will it accept double stack mags? Thanks, Todd 12/25/2008
A:  Yes, this rifle accepts the high capacity mags or double stack magazines. That includes 30 rd., 40 rd., or any of the 75-100 rd. drum magazines. You can get all of those from J&G Sales online. I'm not including any high capacity magazines in this auction. Just the 10-rd. magazine that came with the rifle from the factory. 12/25/2008
Q:  Is the muzzle end threaded for a brake? Hard to tell for sure from the pix? 12/25/2008
        A:  Nope, it's not threaded. JH 12/25/2008
A:  Hey, sounds good to me. My FFL dealer is Bear Arms in Scottsdale, AZ, and they'll be in charge of shipping the rifle to the auction winner. If they're legal in your state then it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks. JH. 12/26/2008
