Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Smith & Wesson -- S&W Model 460V, 5 w/Comp, As-, Unfired

You are bidding on an exceptionally neat “Big-Bore” Smith & Wesson X-Frame revolver in as-new and unfired condition; as this item was ordered in for a client and brought back as a trade item before it was fired. The clients’ change of heart only makes this S&W Model 460V with a compensated 5 inch barrel available on the market far below the cost of a new one, in the same as-new and unfired condition! This S&W Model 460V has a 5-shot cylinder, adjustable sights and is fitted with a factory rubber grip. It is designed to fire not only the .460 S&W Magnum ammunition, but also .454 Casull and .45 Long Colt (for an inexpensive practice round). It is being sold in the factory box with all brochures and accessories as it left the factory. This item is being offered at auction with NO RESERVE; and, at a reasonable, below market starting price; taking into consideration the condition as outlined above. We ship firearms only to FFL holders (unless C&R eligible, then a copy of your C&R license must be included); an originally signed copy of which must be included with your order. In the event the firearm is an antique (Pre-1898) we will need a copy of your drivers license showing your age. An order consists of a copy of the e-mail notifying you that you are the winner, a signed copy of the appropriate license and payment. As payment we accept certified funds (shipped next business day), VISA or M/C (a 3.5% fee applies since the auction is cash price based) or a good business or personal check (held 5-days to clear). Now we ship all firearms via USPS; priority service for long guns and for handguns. We always ship fully insured and with an Adult Signature required. To the lower 48, we charge a flat fee of $24.50 for long arms and for handguns; we will pay the balance of the shipping cost and for the cost of the shipping material. AK and HI will be charged the actual cost of shipping, to be determined after the item is sold. VA residents, please be mindful that you will be liable for sales tax. We welcome questions, but kindly request that you ask them via e-mail at least 24 hours prior to the close of the auction. As is our standard policy and that of the auction, a non-firing, non-disassembly 3-day inspection does apply to ensure that we accurately described the item. For those in the anti-gun states, please ensure that the item you are bidding on is legal to possess in your state. We can not ship to CA, Sorry. These firearms have not been test fired and strongly suggest that each item be inspected by a qualified gunsmith prior to use. We attempt to accurately describe every item we offer, as our feedback shows. In addition, we make it a policy to be customer friendly and try to treat all as we would like to be treated. Thanks for your interest! Please visit our other fine auctions. We are a firearms importer and retailer in the Washington DC area; and, usually are asked to dispose of fine collections and firearm estates at auction. We appreciate your time and Good Luck! John

Questions for Users
Q:  I am going to be working in Virginia on the 22nd and 23rd. If I am the successful bidder, can I pick this item up and do the FFL transfer at your location? Thanks - Bob Stevens 12/17/2008
A:  Bob, Thanks! Yes, you can do a FFL Transfer / Pick-up here at the shop, ONLY if you are the FFL Holder and named on the FFL. If you are in the area, you are always welcome to stop by and inspect the revolver to ensure it is as stated. Thanks! John 12/18/2008
