This is a lot of Dies and Brass for the .400 CorBon pistol or M1911 that have a Conversion barrel. There are one set of Lee Custom Steel Dies, and a box of 50 pieces of Starline Brass that appears new. The three-die set includes Lee’s award winning precision dies made for precision ammo, a shell holder (this caliber uses the same shell holder, trimmer base, shell plate and primer seating shell holder as the .45 ACP round). The die set is compatible with all standard 7/8” reloading presses by RCBS, Lee etc, as is the included shell holder. The dies appear lightly used, and since I have never used them myself, I will call them ‘used as is’, since they appear perfect to me, but I am not much of a reloader myself. There also is a die carrying container, an instruction booklet, and what appears a powder dipper. I suppose the pictures describe this better than I can.
I obtained these reloading components together with some ammo and a conversion unit barrel for the old M1911, but never got to use any of it, as my arthritis has put me in the .38 Special/9mm Luger only shooting category. The gent who traded me for this bought it all new at a crazy price, and then switched to GLOCKS… My loss your gain! The dies retail for over $30, and the ½ box of brass still would fetch $10, but my reserve for both is only $25 together to recover some of my cost! This stuff would make a super Christmas gift for somebody who has a 1911 Type pistol, and always wanted to get a bit more bang from their gun! (400 CorBon is close to 10mm Auto without the inconvenience of having to buy a $$$$ handgun and pricey mags, as any 1911 converts to .400 CB and all standard .45 ACP Mags work!
Please note that I am also running an auction for a 400 CorBon conversion kit for M1911 type pistols (if you own a .45 Auto M1911-type pistol or clone, you can swap to 400 CorBon by changing the barrel!!!), and another auction for 400 CorBon factory ammo. So, if you want to swap over from .45 ACP, you could get the whole kit and caboodle for a fraction of the unit's new price. Of course, I will combine shipping on all of my auctions, and will ship via UPS or US Postal service, whichever you prefer, or failing a choice of yours, whatever is cheaper (Ammo must be shipped UPS, however).
