WORLDS CHALLENGE EJECTOR ANTIQUE 12 GUAGE SHOTGUN: Here for your consideration is an Antique Single Shot 12 guage Shotgun. Shotgun is in FINE Condition (that may be stretching it on the wood, but the BORE is Excellent, and remaining finish way over the 30% to be FINE).: Reciever engraved or stamped: WORLDS CHALLENGE EJECTOR: The 32 inch Barrel is stamped: CHOKE BORED on side above marked reciever. Also on top of barrel is stamped: GENUINE TWIST: The 12 Gauge Bore is EXCELLENT (no pitts)! Barrel is a Plum Brown Color with Stripes (being the twist in the barrel)having a few very small nicks or dings (should be in one of the photos). Not sure if was made by actually twisting the steel to form Barrel. Or if just design in the finishing process. Reciever has Single Hammer & Thumb Latch for opening Breech. Black Walnut Buttstock and Forearm both with GOOD Checkering. Photo of Buttstock shows worst side (with big ding) of Stock (other side pretty good). Photo also of Forearm shows Nick at end and slightly in barrel. Steel Triggerguard has a Ding in it also. Black Buttplate has a Sheild Breasted Eagle on it resembling back of a Morgan Silver Dollar (except head looks more like a Crow). Most Original Finish remains, but is a Plum Brown (maybe always was) and Shotgun is Very Dark overall in appearance. Walnut Stocks also Very Dark overall in appearance, with usual nicks, dings, & scratches of a shotgun that was used and lugged around: I purchased this Shotgun as an Antique Firearm in my state. And they were offered via mail order by SEARS ROEBUCK and CO. up to 1902 or so. Shotgun is definately old, but still in GREAT Mechanical Shape & Condition. My Son and I fired some Low Brass shells through it. And it layed Good consistent pattern. May be a good card shoot gun. If theres anywhere that still has them anymore.
