This is a very neat repro of the 1860 Henry, the first useful repeating rifle and the grand-daddy of the whole Winchester line! Has had teh carrier block modified to work with either the .45 Colt or the shorter .45 S&W Schofield rounds. This was my main CAS rifle for a few years and has never had a round of smokeless powder through it. I only ever shot black powder in this rifle, although it will work just fine with and was designed for modern smokeless ammunition. The Brass reciever has a nice patina on it to make it look authentic. It can easily be polished by hand to a mirror shine, if you prefer. The wood is in great condition and the color case hardened lever has been wrapped with leather for greater shooter comfort. Excellent shooter, 100% reliable and wonderfully accurate. Fun to shoot at CAS events or just take to the range! Comes with an old leather sling with an original Winchester front hook. Will ship well packaged in the original box. Has one minor spot of blue wear in the barrel/mag tube as can be seen in the picture. Would easily be covered up with some touch up blue. Please see the pictures and look over my other auctions. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thanks!
