Q:  Is this the same cartridge as the 43 Spanish aka 43 Remington? I bought an old Remington rolling block and am trying to discover which 43 caliber it is chambered for. In the process I am acquiring a nice collection of 43 caliber bullets that so far none fit. 07/13/2009
A:  As careful as I can be I'll try and help! That old Remington is a roller as I have and shot! With 375 grn. cast bullet, lubed. The 43 Mauser has more presure! (11.15x60) .43 spanish is (11.15x58) or known as .43 Spanish/Remington. My bullets measure .445 plus, 37grns. of 3031 should be 1350 fps. ? I swear I've seen the bullet fly!! Back when I could see. Hope this helps? Also I have flat base Bell brass. DERIL 07/13/2009
