This is a non reserve auction for a Snider Conversion,"ZULU" shotgun. These were European percussion muzzle-loading military rifles that were converted to accept the Snider breech-loading system to a 12 gauge shotgun. The barrel length is 34 ½" with overall length of 51". Various inspection stamps overall, various locations. It has the original lower barrel band. The stock does have some minor stock dings, scratches but nothing major. It still has Holywater plug in stock. The top of the barrel is marked “HUNTER”. The metal has a uniform brown patina but does not have serious pitting. The bore is dark but again does not appear to be pitted. It is in as found condition from an estate. I purposely have not cleaned it at all. The lock and firing pin seem to function correctly. This gun is an antique since it was manufactured in the mid 1800s and does not require a FFL or C&R license for transfer. Unlike most descriptions in online auctions I have included many photos to allow potential bidders to fully evaluate the firearm. One should recognize that many of the close up photos are magnified and larger than life. Others photos may reflect lighting distortions in effect and color. Buyer to pay $27 for shipping and insurance. No sales tax for out of state purchasers but New York State residents are required to pay 7% sales tax. I have a walk in Gun Shop so I reserve the right to remove this item from auction if there are no bids and I have a local buyer.
