Seller's Description

1816 Remington Flintlock Commemorative Rifle

Eliphalet Remington II 1816 Flintlock Rifle & Certificate of Authenticity (#421)

DESCRIPTION:

Offered for sale is a once in a lifetime chance to own a piece of history, an 1816 Remmington Commemorative Flintlock Muzzleloading Rifle. This rifle was reproduced by the Remington Custom Shop in 1995, in very limited numbers. The rifles were made in the old methods handed down by Eliphalet Remington II. It has a 1-66 twist and is in 50 cal. It's believed by some uninformed individuals, that Remington contracted out the production of these firearms to the likes of Hatfield and others. This is untrue and is pure unfounded speculation on the part of those individuals making the claims. All of the rifles produced were by Remington as verified by their own tutorial. None of these rifle were made exactly alike, so you can have the pleasure of knowing that you'll own a very distinctive rifle. They were produced in very small numbers, said to be less than 750 total. The rifle has never been fired and has been handled very little. The frizzen is unmarked and has the original flint intact. It has a Ketland style lock which is robust in construction. It has been properly lubed to maintain it's original finish and mechanical condition. Additionally, it comes with a certificate of authenticity which verifies it's originality and all the appropriate paperwork of purchase. I'm offering this rifle for a very limited time. Don't miss your opportunity to own it.
SHIPPING INFORMATION:

All shipping fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Be aware that USPS and FedEx will allow ground shipment. You can estimate your shipping via their website. I'm able to accept certified money orders, bankers drafts and personal checks only. If you pay by personal check, I wil be unable to ship until the check has cleared my bank. This can take up to 10 days and I will keep you informed of the status.
NOTES AND FINE PRINT:

This is a rare opportunity to own a very limited original reproduction of the rifle that started the Remington Company.

I appreciate your inquires and your bids. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!
