This gun is up for auction as a parts gun only. We cannot guarantee that all the components of the gun are present. Parts may or may not be missing from this gun. If we know what is missing we will put it in the description. This gun should only be considered as a parts gun for repairing other guns or as a fixer-upper that may require parts. We purchased this gun to use as a parts gun for our gunsmith. On some guns he has removed parts, some he has not.
This Iver Johnson Champion is a 12 gauge single-shot shotgun. The gun has an exposed hammer, auto extractor and a plain pistol grip stock. The barrel is 30" and has a front bead sight. The bore is pitted and in poor condition. Just about all the blue is gone from the metal and the metal has turned patina.
The wood has some dings and scratches and the forearm is cracked in both sides at the front-bottom. The stock is also cracked behind the receiver tang at the top and bottom. The buttplate is missing from the stock (see photos).
Except for the missing buttplate, the gun appears to have all it's components intact. We did not test-fire the gun, so we have no way of telling if the gun will function. The tang lever can be pushed to the left-of-center and when opening the breech, the tang lever extends far to the right and hangs. As mentioned, this gun is up for auction as a "Parts Gun" Only. Serial #15361A STK.# 13236.
