This auction is for a Remington Model 241 Speedmaster Semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle Only. The Model 241 was designed by John M. Browning (you can see the Browning Patent on the barrel in one of my pics) in 1934. It was manufactured from 1935 until 1949 with a total of only 107,345 ever being made. For those not familar with this slim 22 semi-auto, it has a tube feed from the rear stock and it bottom eject. This particular rifle is a "take-down" model which would make great camping/pack rifle. From the looks on the screws, it appears it was never taken down. The rifle is in fantastic condtion and looks much newer then its actual age, however there are some handling scratches on the left side of the rear stock only (see pics). It has an adjustable rear leaf sight and serial number is 96627 suggesting it was manufactured in 1947. It also has two FACTORY drilled holes in the top rear of the receiver that are for a rear tang sight. These screws have never been touched or taken out. If you need to see additional pics of the receiver, please email me. I only ship to FFL (no exceptions) and buyer must also pay a $39.99 shipping and handling charge. Will be shipped UPS insured. I accept Postal Money order or personal checks (personal checks take two weeks to clear).
