This gun is up for auction as a parts gun only. We cannot guarantee that all the components of the gun are present. Parts may or may not be missing from this gun. If we know what is missing we will put it in the description. This gun should only be considered as a parts gun for repairing other guns or as a fixer-upper that may require parts. We purchased this gun to use as a parts gun for our gunsmith. On some guns he has removed parts, some he has not. We are accumulating too many, so we are listing them to reduce our inventory.
This is a Winchester Model 370, 20 Gauge single-shot shotgun. The stock is missing and the barrel has been cut-down to 19". Someone tried to install a bead and cobbled-up the top of the cut barrel. The bead shows through into the bore. The barrel is chambered for 2-3/4" and 3" shells and is marked FULL, however as mentioned the barrel has been cut-down. The Model 370 has a top-lever, break-open action. The tang lever is right of center, but the action closes reasonably tight and locks securely.
Blue on the receiver is 90%, but the receiver is scratched-up and the finish is not in the greatest condition. There are also three gouges in the left-side of the receiver. As mentioned the gun does not have a stock, however the forearm is still on the gun. The forearm is in fair condition with a few handling marks, but no cracks (see photos).
This gun is being auctioned as a Parts Gun and should only be considered for parts for another Model 370. Except for the missing stock and cut barrel, the gun appears to have all it's components. Serial #C236669. STK.#12910.
Here's a Model 370 that could definitely be salvaged for a some parts. Put in a bid for this parts gun today!
