Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Stevens -- M-414 or Armory Model 22LR w/ Lyman 52A Tang Site

Stevens Md-414 or Armory Model, .22LR. This gun has a Lyman 52A tang sight. It's accompanied by a Lyman No.47 windgauge stem. This is one of a kind, customized to its era gun. The receiver has quite a little case colors remaining. It has a 26" heavy round barrel with an excellent bore. The stock was shortened at the tang. It has a 12 1/4" pull. The steel buttplate and trigger are checkered. The butt of this gun has been filled with lead. Two holes remain for the cleaning rod which is not present. Take note that another swivel was added to the forearm. It has a good, old, military sling. The hole punch was a little worn when this sling was made. Some leather punch out will remain. It may have been a reject because no name is on it. The serial number is 62xxx. This is a neat piece of history. A shooters edge!! This old gun is in very good condition, overall.

Questions for Users
(Public)
Q:  Hi In the 4th picture it looks to have cracks in the buttstock or is that the grain of the wood ? Thanks Bill 03/17/2009
A:  Its actually two large cracks! Splits would be a better word ! Looks about 75 years ago expand type split? The main one in center just stops in the middle of gun. The other goes to sling swivel. Nothing showing on other side. 03/17/2009
