NO RESERVE!! Here's a copy of the famous Winchester Model 1892 that was manufactured in Spain prior to World War Two. Known as the "EL TIGRE" (Tiger) model, she's chambered for the .44-40 cartridge. The barrel measures 22" in length and has a ladder style sight. The receiver has the tiger logo stamped on the left side as well as a saddle ring. The sling swivels were also standard issue with this model. Overall condition is very nice. This carbine retains about 95% of the original blue finish with normal handling and storage wear but no rust or pitting. Still has good case colors visible on the lever. The stocks are in good shape with almost all of the original finish remaining. There are a couple small chips near the buttplate on the right side and also a tight crack forward of the buttplate on the left. Mechanically, this carbine appears to be in excellent shape. The action works crisply and lock-up is tight. The bore is also excellent...like new! The nicest El Tigre I've ever seen, this one still even has the cleaning rod in the butt trap! As an interesting tidbit...an El Tigre carbine was occasionally used in the filming of the old western TV show "The Rifleman"! A neat old lever gun! Buyer pays $25.00 shipping. A C&R License is acceptable for transfer.
