Here we have a J. Stevens & Co. three trigger shotgun. Made between 1876-1884. 31" bbls. The barrels were sleeved at some point, ergo the "step" in the barrel, obviously done "across the pond" in England by the maker whose name is on the rib.Mechanically excellent. Everything works. Bore is shiny/excellent. Twist barrels. Resleeved in England, I believe for higher pressure. Never shot it but it sure looks like you can. Original everything. A little dry cracking on the original wood finish. Number 877 on barrel lug area, number 877 on forearm metal. Original J. C. Stevens lettering hidden under sleeves. Saw one just like this in the movie Tombstone. Please note: I am not a gun dealer. I am an avid collector for many years and very knowledgeable. I have collected, restored, reloaded, and hunted as a serious hobby. I am simply reducing my personal collection as I am now into old Harleys’. ( I will consider trades. ) Please email with any questions and I will respond as quickly as possible. To avoid any possible complications I will only ship to licensed dealers that I have verified. Please check with yours before bidding to make sure they will receive from individuals.
