This is a Sauer & Sohn, Nazi Marked Model 38H, double-action automatic pistol chambered in .32 ACP. These pistols were manufactured from 1938 - 1945. The 38 H has a 3-1/4" barrel with fixed sights and plastic grips. The bore is in good condition with crisp rifling and no pitting. We have the original plastic grips, however the left-grip panel is in three pieces. We are including the original grips with the gun, however the gun currently has custom-made wood grips. Whoever fabricated the wood grips did a nice job, there is a slight thumb-recess on the left-grip panel and the grips fit the gun well (see photos).
As mentioned the gun is Nazi Marked with the Waffen appearing on the right-side at the rear of the slide and rear of the frame, just below the serial number (see photos). The gun is serial numbered #433300. The gun has it's original blue finish, blue is 90% or better with the blue being slightly worn from the edges. The slide has some very minor spots of pitting on the left-side with some pitting on the right-side that's a bit heavier (see photos). There is also a bit of pitting at the bottom of the grip frame on the rear side (see photos). There are some of the "rough" machining marks typically found on military era weapons, but overall the finish on this 38 H is in very good condition, especially for it's age.
As mentioned, the gun has custom wood grips. The grips are smooth and have a cherry wood color, oil stain finish. There are a few light handling marks on the grips, but they fit the gun well and overall are in very good condition with no cracks. The magazine appears to be original and is stamped with an "S" over "S" (Sauer) logo on the outside bottom (see photos).
Overall this gun is in excellent condition mechanically and very good in appearance. Serial #433300. STK. #11327.
This Nazi marked Sauer & Sohn would make a great addition to your collection of WWII guns.
