Questions for Users
(Public)
Q:  Is this a Swedish M96 that is sporterized? What stampings does the rifle show? Have you fired this rifle for accuracy? How does it do? Thank you. 10/12/2007
A:  Yes it is. I don't have the rifle, it's at the Gun Shop and I have never shot it. 10/12/2007

(Public)
Q:  Sir: I was wondering what type of finish is on your rifle? Is it in the white & just bare metal or is that some type of finish? 10/23/2007
A:  I believe it to be Stainless Steel. 10/23/2007

(Public)
Q:  Sir: How's the inside of the barrel? Also, could you ask the guys at the gunshop if the gun has been buffed & is in the "white", or if some type of a chrome finish has been applied to it? Thanks! 10/23/2007
A:  if I set a Browning A-Bolt Stalker S.S. beside it they look almost identical, if it's not S.S. I don't know what the finish is, sorry but that's the best answer I csan give you. 10/26/2007

(Public)
Q:  Why does this Kimber look like a Mauser? 10/27/2007
A:  In 1995-96 Kimber started sporterizing the Swedish Mauser Model 96 Military Surplus Rifles. They featured Stainless Steel Barrells and Ramline Synethic Stocks. 10/27/2007

Q:  On this model 96, does the bolt cock on opening or closing--thanks jwr 10/30/2007
A:  The bolt cocks closing the bolt. 10/31/2007

(Public)
Q:  Where are you located? What makes it rated only good condition? Are you open to an offer without the fancy scope? John 11/21/2007
A:  I'm located in western Ill. south of the Moline. The rifle is should probably be rated at very good, but I'd rather rate low and have a happy customer than have it the other way. It really isn't a fancy scope and I would listen to a offer. 11/21/2007

(Public)
Q:  How is the bore? And can it be picked up in person? Thanks. 12/06/2007
A:  The bore is good, yes you can pick it up in person if you have a FFL, a Cashier's Check or Money Order or Cash. If you are a Illinois Resident you will have to pay 6.25% Sales Tax and fill out a 4473Form and wait 24 Hrs. to pick up if you don't have a FFL License. 12/07/2007
