For sale is a wonderful Gebruder Merkel 200E 12 ga. shotgun made in 1954. It has solid rib barrels, double triggers, auto ejectors, cocking indicators, 2 3/4 inch chambers, very nice wood with fine checkering, beautiful lightly engraved case hardened receiver, silver midbead sight, red front bead sight, 14 inch LOP, 6 lb 12 oz weight, and several custom features. The custom work includes an ajustable comb, Kickeze recoil pad, barrels shortened to 26 1/4 inch, barrels fitted for screw in choke tubes, and 5 Rhino ported choke tubes. Chokes included are 2 IC .010, Mod .020, Full .030, and extra Full .040. I don't know who did the work on this shotgun but they did a very nice job. The blueing is about 90% and the case colors are 85%. The recoil pad is worn and has a few pieces out of it. Should be replaced but very shootable as is. The wood is very nice except for a hairline crack in the forearm from the bottom of the receiver to the forend latch. It seems very solid but the crack is visable. This would make a wonderful upland gun that is adjustable for your stock deminsions and chokes for all kinds of bird or clays. If I hadn't recently purchased a high grade Simson O/U for myself this one would be in my safe. This is a very fine German shotgun at a bargain price. Serious offers and trades will be considered.
