Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - J.C. HIGGINS -- JC Higgins Model 583.10 Bolt Action 12 Gauge

Here is a JC Higgins Model 583.10 bolt action 12 gauge shotgun with 28" barrel. This gun belonged to my father who recently passed away. To the best of my knowledge it hasnt been fired in the last 30+ years. It has been properly oiled and stored in a temperature controlled environment for those same 30+ years and appears to be in good condition. My dad was a gun collector, had some new, some old, some large bore guns. I will be listing more of them in the near future. Thanks for looking.

Payment and Shipping Instructions:
Shipping will be a flat $30.00 which will include insurance. Payment must be made via Money Order or Certified Check within 5 days of auction close. Will accept credit cards through Paypal but please add an additional 3%. Of course this sale will require the firearm be shipped to a valid FFL holder and I will require a signed copy of the FFL before shipment.

Questions for Users
(Public)
Q:  Could this gun be C&R eligable? I had one just like it when I WAS 16 I'm now 63. Thanks 08/09/2007
A:  Hi, the Blue Book of Guns lists manufacture date between 1946 and 1956 and if thats the case then yes, this gun would be C & R eligible as it would be 50+ years old. Thanks 08/09/2007
