Guns For Sale - -- FN49 Argentine Rifle in .308

This auction is for a FN49 Argentine semi-automatic rifle. The rifle was modified in Argentina to .308 caliber and to use a 20 round box magazines. One magazine and a bayonet are included with the rifle. This rifle is beautifully designed and manufactured. It is military surplus and the photos show the finish wear and storage dings typical of these surplus rifles. The rifle has a cocking indicator, an adjustable gas system, and adjustable sights, among other features. It is lightly import marked. Please contact me with any questions.

Payment and Shipping Instructions:
Terms: ALL STATE AND FEDERAL LAW APPLY. It is the bidder’s responsibility to know your state and local laws. By participating in this auction, the bidder agrees to release the seller from all liability, criminal or civil, arising from the ownership, use, or possession of this firearm. Payment: Cashier’s Checks or money orders only (U.S. Post Office Money Orders preferred). Payment must be received within 10 days of close of auction. Shipping: All firearms are shipped via UPS. Buyer pays the cost of shipping and insurance as set forth below. Long guns are shipped via UPS Ground/Insured for a flat fee of $25.00 to the lower 48 states. Handguns are shipped via UPS overnight for a flat fee of $35.00. All modern firearms must be shipped to your FFL dealer for transfer. I am not an FFL holder but will include proof of identity with shipment. If your dealer requires an FFL holder on this end of the transaction, there will be an additional fee of $20.00 because that is what my dealer charges me. Safety Notice: This is a used firearm and the buyer is solely responsible for determining that a used gun is safe to shoot. As with every used firearm, you have this weapon inspected by a qualified gunsmith before firing. By bidding, the buyer agrees to hold seller harmless against damages, injury, or death caused by defective merchandise. Return Policy: All firearms come with a 3-day inspection period. The inspection period begins at time of delivery to your dealer and it is the buyer’s responsibility to inspect the gun in this time frame. You may not discharge or disassemble the firearm as part of the inspection. If you fire it or disassemble it, you have bought it. In the case of a return, buyer pays return shipping. Please READ my description, review the photos, and ask questions BEFORE you bid. In the event of damage during shipment; you must save the damaged shipping box and file a claim with the shipping company. Any returned item must be in the exact condition that the item was in when it left me.

    Q:  I assume you are taking a C&R licence on this C&R rifle but want to be sure befor biding 08/10/2007
        A:  Hi and thanks for your interest. Although this rifle would qualify if it remained in its original configuration, my understanding is that the caliber conversion and rebarrelling by the Argentine Navy in 1962 takes it out of curio and relic class. Sorry, I will need to ship to a regular FFL on this one. Tom S. 08/11/2007
