Up for consideration is a bolt action, single shot rifle. This rifle is in fair condition. This rifle was produced before 1926 by the Page Lewis Arms Company Chicopee Fall, Massachusetts, They manufactured rifles and was purchased by J. Stevens Arms Company in 1926. The barrel is fair as is the stock. It is worn, but not badly. It has the worn finish of a rifle of that age. The stock is intact and there is no major pitting on the finish. The action is crisp and tight. It is a Model 49 "Challenge"; it was primarily made as a boys rifle for target shooting and small game hunting.
