Questions for Users
Q:  Does this Rossi have a Greener sliding crossbolt? Looks like the early prod. top lever in photos - is top lever fastened with a slotted screw or 2-hole "spanner-type screw head? Is top rib marked "Garcia Corp" or "Garcia Sporting Arms"? Thank You, Joe 03/29/2007
A:  It does have the cross bolt and the top lever has the two hole spanner type screw. The last photo shows the markings. 03/29/2007
Q:  Hi again, Hoping i'll be high bid on this shotgun (need this early Garcia Rossi for a 2 shotgun into 1 / dbl rifle conversion - 45-90 w/fitted 12 ga. tubes, both brl sets 25-26".) I'm building a 30-40/20ga on another pair of Rossi shotguns but still need to locate a 26" barreled 20ga to complete that project, and still have proof firing and regulating ahead plus if the 20ga. frame proofs okay, the 12, besides fitting and proofing 45 cal barrels, along with fitting 2 barrel sets to each frame, will also require shotgun barrel shortening and most likely jug choking opposed to fitting Trulocks. I'm a 59 yr old hobby gunsmith/tool&diemaker trained, and shouldn't really have tackled these 2 projects ... but, you know how "gun nuts" are! I've sold all but 2 of my treasured Browning/Miroku levers to finance this project, and am just a little nervous about UPS shipping should I win, as their conveyors have broken 2 buttstocks on me during the last couple years, and sidelock doubles are weak in the wrist area to start with! If I win could you break it down and wrap and pad all 3 pcs securely, or ship Priority Mail (to 04069) instead, and advise me NOW of any extra cost over your normal $18- shpg., as (weather permitting - winter storm just starting!) I plan to get to Post Office tomorrow and Priority Mail FFL copy and PMO out to you. Thanks, Joe (hobbyguymaine) 04/04/2007
A:  I pack all guns in bubble wrap and extra packing to be gorilla proof. No problem packing it in three pieces. If you want it shipped via priority mail I'd have to check on cost plus insurance verses UPS. 04/04/2007
