Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't high enough. You're not the high Bidder until you've been notified by email that you are. Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Colt -- WW II 1943 1911 Rare Union Switch & Signal

Here we have a Union Switch and Signal M1911A1 , frame stamped with inspection initials “R.C.D.” in circle on left side of frame. This US & S pistol was fitted with a Colt slide which his historically correct, as during WW2 some of the US &S slides developed cracks due to improper heat treatment. Finish is dull gray-black Du-lite bluing over sandblast. Barrel and bore in great shape. Magazine appears to an original old Colt. Trigger, hammer, slide lock, safety tab and magazine release button are checkered. Stocks appear to be “Keys” small ring grips. I am not an expert on WWII 1911’s but I have researched all vital facts from Carpenter’s book on Union Switch and signal M1911A1 and everything appears to be correct. This rare relic would make a nice addition to your WWII collection as well as a good solid shooting pistol.

Questions for Users
(Public)
Q:  I have a S&S complete slide. It may help you get what you are asking for your 1911. $300 and it is yours. 03/11/2007
A:  Thanks much for the offer. I will pass this on to the high bidder as the auction ends in a couple of hours. The auction has already gone crazy the way it is and it is militarily correct, but the new owner might want an US&S slide. Thank you very much Galen (shalen) 03/11/2007
